ELEANOR PARK DISC GOLF
Disc golf is played like traditional golf.
Instead of using a ball and clubs, players throw a flying disc, or Frisbee.
The sport, which was first played in the early 1970’s, shares with traditional golf the goal of completing a hole in the fewest number of strokes- or throws!
Disc golfers begin play by throwing a disc toward an elevated target, often called a disc basket. As a player progresses through the hole, he or she must throw each consecutive shot from the spot where the previous throw landed. Trees, shrubs, and terrain changes provide challenging obstacles for the golfer. At the finish of the hole, the “putt” lands in the elevated target and the hole is complete.
Construction of a Disc Golf Course does require an initial investment, but is inexpensive to maintain and will last for many years to come. Hole sponsorships are a method to off-set costs while offering our community an opportunity to demonstrate their pride and support for our town.
Sponsorship includes a one time fee of $350.00 dollars.
This fee secures a permanent sponsorship which pays for a basket
and a sign with your name and/or company logo.
