Each December, on National Wreaths Across America Day, a wreath-laying ceremony is held at Arlington National Cemetery, as well as at more than 2,100 additional locations in all 50 U.S. States, at sea and abroad. This year on December 14th, the Town of Eleanor was proud and honored to take part in this annual ceremony for the first time.
The mission for Wreaths Across America is to REMEMBER our fallen U.S. Veterans. HONOR those who serve. And TEACH your children the value of freedom.
The Town of Eleanor would like to thank the WVARNG Honor Guard, Chaplain Christopher Bennett (WVARNG 1092nd Engineer Battalion), The Eleanor Explorers 4-H Club, Madyson Rogers and Philip Wilfong for participating in the ceremony. Also, a special thank you to all those who helped plan, contributed to the purchase of wreaths, those who laid the wreaths and all other volunteers who made this event possible.
Most importantly, thank you to all Veterans from Eleanor and across the globe for all you do for our country.
