2020 Town Calendar Contest
The Town of Eleanor’s History Advisory Committee will hold a monthly contest to assemble pictures for the 2020 Town Calendar! Each month, members of the committee will choose one winning photo. Monthly winners will become the corresponding month’s featured photo for the 2020 Town Calendar. Examples: December 2018 winner will be the December 2020 featured photo, January 2019 will be the January 2020 featured photo, etc.
Here is how you can participate:
- Be a current or former resident of the Town of Eleanor.
- Take a photo anywhere inside the Town of Eleanor city limits.
- Attach and e-mail your photo to eleanortown@frontier.com.
- Enter the Month and Year for the Subject of the email. Example: December 2018 Calendar Contest.
- List your name, telephone number, the years you have lived in Eleanor and a title/caption for your photo.
Each person may submit up to 5 photos each month.
The History Advisory Committee will meet on the first Tuesday of each month at 6:30pm to select a winner. Winners will be notified and announced on the town webpage each month.
Winners will receive a free calendar along with the option to include a photo of them, their family and a short summary of their life in Eleanor.
The goal of this contest is not just to put pictures in the calendar, it is to serve as documentation and a way for future generations to look back and see what Eleanor was like during our time in history.
Each photo entered will also be kept for future displays on the town website and museum.
