On February 26, 2019 the Putnam County WV Republican Women’s club recognized several officers around Putnam County for Law Enforcement Appreciation Day. Putnam County resident and Chief of Staff for Governor Jim Justice Mike Hall was on hand to present each officer a certificate and letter of appreciation. Eleanor Police Chief Larry Wingo was recognized along with fellow law enforcement from other local municipalities, the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department and the State Police. Eleanor Police Officer Aaron Truitt was also invited to be recognized, however he was unable to attend the event.
