The Town of Eleanor, Eleanor Volunteer Fire Department and many local businesses all came together to support the George Washington Elementary School’s “Touch-A-Truck” fundraiser.

The community event took place on August 25th with all funds raised going towards the purchase of new technology for the GWES students.  Dozens of cool vehicles, including the Eleanor Police Department’s cruiser and the Eleanor Volunteer Fire Department’s Engine 212 and Rescue 215 were available for kids to touch, interact and learn about.

If you missed the event and would still like to donate, please contact Principal Twyla Melton or Event Coordinator/Teacher Helen Durgin at 304-586-2184.
